Luca Locatelli is a photographer and visual storyteller.

His research is concentrated on the interactions between culture, science and the environment and in particular on technological and industrial processes which can be promising and sustainable for the planet.

Luca works closely with international scientists, journalists, researchers and specialists in order to contextualise and enrich his visual research.

He is a National Geographic Magazine photographer and often collaborates with international publications such as New York Times Magazine, Time, The New Yorker, Bloomberg Businessweek, Wired, Smithsonian, Stern, Geo France, Geo Germany, Sunday Times Magazine, D di Repubblica and many others.

Over the years the work of Luca Locatelli has been exhibited worldwide and recognised by international awards such as Aftermath Grant in 2014, Nannen Prize 2017, World Press Photo Award 2018 – Environment category and World Photography Organization 2018 – Landscape category.
